By the way, my dad grew up Lutheran. I liked them better because they always did the casserole thing and served Kool-Aid for Sunday School. Not to mention, the Catholic Church never let me ring the church bell. Oh! I cannot forget the sauerkraut and peppered rutabaga dinners every fall! Oh man….I’m hungry now.

IC, I’ve been enjoying your story. As one of 10 kids of devout RC parents, I feel a certain kinship with your mom. Somehow though, my strict Catholic upbringing just failed to stick to my Teflon soul.
